It illustrates how acceleration of the 2030 Agenda can benefit from institutionalized multi-stakeholder engagement which can enable continuous, whole-of-society approaches that meaningfully complement whole-of-government approaches.

The study is based on empirical insights from eight established multi-stakeholder advisory bodies around the world. It includes a rich collection of good practices and an overview of the institutions and processes in policymaking in the countries featured – namely, Belgium, Georgia, Kosovo, Mexico, Namibia, Portugal, Romania and Senegal.
