How do you become a member?

To become a member you must be an organisation that:

  1. operates at a national level
  2. is engaged in national SDG policy making or VNR drafting processes
  3. that serves as umbrella organisation for several organisations and stakeholder groups.

What does membership entail?

The Global Forum depends on the activities and engagement of its members in order to further its role in progressing sustainable development.

There are no formal obligations created by being a member but there is an expectation that you will actively engage with the work of the Global Forum and members in other countries. This might take the form of:

  • taking part in one or more communities of practice
  • actively participating in Forum events, webinars and other knowledge-sharing platforms
  • submitting articles, blogs, thought pieces or other content for the website and newsletter
  • sharing research and project knowledge with fellow members.

Development of the network is being driven by a group of active members with representation from all continents who have formed a steering group for strategic questions of the network.
