Vision and work in relation to the Global Forum

The FRDO-CFDD is an advisory council. The council itself is not directly responsible for implementing the SDGs. However, the council has already put forward  several perspectives  on SDG policy. These include the two Voluntary National Reviews conducted by Belgium (in 2017 and 2023) on the Federal Plan for Sustainable Development. The council is also active in the European network of advisory councils working on sustainable development and environment (EEAC), and through that network, helps monitor European developments on SDG policy.

Bringing together voices from different sections of society

The FRDO-CFDD is composed of civil society organisations. They are our members. Through the functioning of the council, they can submit comments to the government and regularly engage in direct dialogue with government representatives.
