Vision and work in relation to the Global Forum

NEDI works on SDGs localization focusing on young people and the informal service sector, SEMs and CSOs in Nepal. It has been contributing to Nepal SDGs Forum. The organization is again leading the Volunteer Local Review process in Nepal.

It works on reducing economic inequality and promoting dignified life for poor and marginalized people by engaging with sustainable enterprises, responsible businesses, innovative and new income generating activities, providing better livelihood skills, knowledge and capacity and creating job opportunities for youth and women.

Bringing together voices from different sections of society

At NEDI, our technical expertise is a key driver of our mission to promote social entrepreneurship, responsible sustainable businesses, climate resilience and SDGs localisation. We pride ourselves on our diverse and experienced roster of personnel and experts who provide invaluable guidance, mentorship, and training to individuals, particularly youth, women, and marginalized communities interested in NEDI thematic areas.

On the other hand, NEDI has over 100 SDGs Youth Champions who are promoting and engaging in activities on SDGs. We possess the capacity to conduct in-depth research and studies on critical topics such as climate justice, sustainable development, and circular economy principles. This expertise allows us to gather valuable insights and data, enabling evidence-based decision-making and the development of impactful programs and initiatives. We have established strong alliances and network linkages at the national, regional, and international levels. Through active participation in various networks, alliances, federations, and organizations, we leverage the collective expertise and resources of like-minded stakeholders.
