HLPF side event: How can we assess multi-stakeholder engagement in the VNR process in order to improve engagement processes in the future?

This event will explore how to assess and improve multi-stakeholder engagement in VNR processes. Japan’s inclusive process on stakeholder reviews will be presented, followed by insights from other countries reporting in 2025. Attendees will discuss quality criteria for engagement, with input from GPEDC. Co-hosted by GSDP and the Global Forum, the event contributes to research for an upcoming guide on whole-of-society SDG implementation.
