Global Forum event - :

Engaging the private sector for sustainable development

The private sector is a key actor in sustainable development. However, Global Forum members report that collaborating with businesses is often challenging. In this webinar, we will explore why advisory bodies need to include the private sector, the obstacles frequently encountered to achieving that, and strategies to overcome them.

Further information

Drawing on decades of experience in private-sector partnerships, Tom Harrison (TPI) will provide an introduction to the topic.  He will suggest potential barriers from the private sector's perspective and propose how advisory bodies can create mutually beneficial partnerships with businesses.

We will then hear from Global Forum members about their first-hand experiences working with the private sector in their respective countries. For this reason, we are looking for 2-3 members to share their experience about working with the private sector in their countries. If you would like to volunteer to share your experience, contact the secretariat at info(at)sdgglobalforum.org (opens your email program).

More information and the agenda will be updated in the coming weeks.

To register, please follow this link. (external link, opens in a new window) Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with an option to add the event to your calendar (the confirmation may take a couple of days).

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
