Regional Facilitators for Africa and LAC

We are pleased to introduce our two Regional Facilitators - Nangamso Kwinana (African Monitor) for Africa, and Henry Cedeño Otárola (ALIARSE) for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Although both Nangamso and Henry have been working with the secretariat in this role for a while, we would like to officially welcome them and recognise their valuable contributions to the network.

Regional Facilitator for Africa

Nangamso Kwinana serves as the Programme Officer within the Programmes Unit at African Monitor, a pioneering organization committed to catalysing the monitoring of development commitments, delivery, and impact across the African continent. African Monitor is an independent entity collaborating with diverse stakeholders across sectors, leveraging collective expertise to drive sustainable change.

In her role as the Regional Facilitator for Africa, Nangamso brings a wealth of passion and expertise to her work, coupled with a commitment to learning and collaboration. She is eager to engage with her peers across the Africa region and the Global Forum, recognizing the power of collective action in advancing transformative change.

Over the next few months, Nangamso plans to convene the Global Forum members from Africa. The engagement will focus on shared topics of interest and peer-to-peer learning, leveraging the collective knowledge and experiences of participants to address common challenges and explore innovative solutions.

Regional Facilitator for LAC

Henry Cedeño Otárola is the Partnership and Strategic Linkage Coordinator at ALIARSE, the Foundation for Sustainability and Equity. ALIARSE, an NGO with links to both the public and private sectors, has more than 16 years of experience and commitment in the design, implementation and facilitation of multi-stakeholder partnerships in Costa Rica and LAC.

Since October 2023, ALIARSE has served as a Regional Facilitator to contact the leaders of its member organizations in LAC and understand their interests and expectations in the Global Forum in order to improve and enhance their participation in the network, identify elements to develop a value proposition in both directions and in favour of the acceleration of the 2030 Agenda.

During the next few months, this regional facilitation will be focused on strengthening the capacity of the LAC members to work effectively and efficiently in partnership, to generate spaces for dialogue, reflection, ideation, and exchange of experiences of acceleration and localisation of the SDGs and to improve the communication between the regional members.
