SDG Nederland (SDG NL)

SDG Netherlands brings together all sectors of Dutch society in their efforts to achieve the SDGs in the Netherlands, whilst avoiding negative impact elsewhere.

While national governments are responsible for achieving the SDGs, they cannot do so without the involvement of all parties in society.

Vision: to accelerate and scale up efforts in Dutch society to achieve the SDGs, by informing, inspiring and activating organizations, institutions and organized groups in Dutch society.

Core values: SDG NL is an inspirator and a facilitator, we leave no SDG behind.

Vision and work in relation to the Global Forum

SDG NL informs and mobilises Dutch society around the SDGs, for example, by:

  • organising the SDG Action Week in September
  • hosting ‘SDG accountability day’ in May
  • mobilising a community around a transition, such as the sustainable procurement manifesto, and
  • lobbying for a sustainable government agreement.

Bringing together voices from different sections of society

We are an umbrella organisation, with a steering committee representing all sectors (companies, schools, local governments, youth, financial sector, NGOs, etc), a network of SDG houses and SDG hubs throughout the country, and for every SDG, we have an alliance coordinator that focuses on achieving the goals under that specific SDG.
