Vision and work in relation to the Global Forum

This initiative arose from the active participation of three umbrella organisations: CSCI, CNOSCI and GOFEHF, in Côte d'Ivoire's preparations for the United Nations Summit for the Adoption of the 2030 Agenda (SDGs) in September 2015. It seeks to develop an internal dialogue framework for civil society organisations (CSOs)  to better co-ordinate actions, have operational CSO contacts to monitor the SDGs, identify and list all CSO results in relation to the SDGs, Agenda 2030 and the National Development Plan (NDP), as well as carry out concrete actions on the ground alongside the government and share best practices in Côte d'Ivoire.

We support decision-makers in adopting and implementing the national strategy for the 2030 Agenda  and help guide and support member organisations in implementing SDGs as well as the mobilise resources and co-ordinate, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the SDGs.

The SAI/ODD-CI participates and collaborates regularly with the government. The government also participates in the activities of the SAI/ODD-CI and provides it with institutional support

We seek to create a civil society that is more committed and involved in sustainable development actions to transform Côte d'Ivoire by 2030.

We share information, expertise and evidence available to CSOs on the SDGs, Agenda 2063 and theNDP and provide a framework for consultation, exchange and sharing to ensure better co-ordination of initiatives and pooling of efforts by member CSOs.

Bringing together voices from different sections of society

We organise regional and national consultations on the SDGs, the NDP and the NNI and  participate in the Voluntary National Reporting process (2019, 2022).

We are a member of the multipartite committee monitoring the implementation of the SDGs in Côte d'Ivoire and participate in the High-Level Political Forum on the SDGs.

We also provide feedback from meetings to other CSOs, run training for CSOs on the SDGs, organising studies on the SDGs and partner with decentralised authorities.
